Suspected Burglar arrested.

In connection with recent burglaries in the Birstall area, one male has been arrested and remanded in custody.  Further information will be published when available.

Theft of number plates.

Overnight on Friday/Saturday, between 10.00pm and 8.00am 11th/12th January, both front and rear number plates were stolen from a vehicle in Hill Rise.

Burglary - Copeland Road.

On Friday 11th January between 7.45pm and 8.00pm a house on Copeland Road was burgled.  Entry was gained via the rear patio doors.  The burglars were possibly disturbed by neighbours who were alerted after hearing noises.

Burglary - Curzon Avenue

On Thursday 3rd January at 1.30am, a house on Curzon Avenue (close to School Lane) was broken into.  Access was gained by forcing the door to a conservatory and then attempting to enter the house.  The burglars were disturbed by the occupant and two males in dark clothing were seen climbing over a wall and running up Curzon Avenue towards Roman Road.  It is believed that no property was actually taken.

Loughborough Road - Burglary.

On Wednesday 26th December, between 7.30pm and 9.30pm, a house on Loughborough Road (between Firfield Avenue and the Sibson Road junction) was burgled.  It is believed that the intruders may have been disturbed.
